My Name is Hilda Ramirez and I am asking for your support for election to the Worcester School Committee.
As a Worcester homeowner for the past 20 years and a small business owner, I bring a unique perspective to the School Committee. I have years of experience serving as a board member of different non-profit organizations. I have also spent 16 years in a financial corporation, and I am currently the Executive Director of the Worcester Youth Center. I understand what students in an urban district need to succeed.
I want to be part of a school system that ensures that our children graduate as independent learners and thinkers, who have choices and who are prepared for the future challenges of our global economy. We need to increase rigor that will result in academic excellence for all of our children. We need to reduce the budget by increasing resources from public-private partnerships.
I ask for your vote and commit to focusing my energies on ensuring the District and School focus on what our children need.
